I had the misfortune of being subjected to People Magazine while waiting for the dentist today. The level of loud, neon colored adds was simply shocking. Almost every single page had ads taking up about 50% of the real estate. It wasn’t just the volume that was ‘so amazing’, it was the level of the content being pitched. If I didn’t have such a low opinion of the populous at large I’d have thought that 4th graders where the target audience.
