I had the misfortune of being subjected to People Magazine while waiting for the dentist today. The level of loud, neon colored adds was simply shocking. Almost every single page had ads taking up about 50% of the real estate. It wasn’t just the volume that was ‘so amazing’, it was the level of the content being pitched. If I didn’t have such a low opinion of the populous at large I’d have thought that 4th graders where the target audience.

Why is it that some people/companies seem to think that can you give information to someone and yet somehow prevent them from copying or doing anything else with it. When are the DRM asshats going to figure out that this is theoretically impossible to do?

As of Feb, 11th 2007 AACS has been broken for all HD-DVD manufactured before that date. We should all thank Arnezami for giving us a new clue stick to use against the DRM asshats.

HawaianTel’s 611 service seems to think that the test numbers are some sort of secret and they can’t be relieved to the public, even to “enterprise” customers with PRI service. So I decided to start putting together a list of phone numbers as a discover them with the hope that this list will get indexed by the various search engines.
